Exciting play in 50th anniversary championships
The 2013 Boys' CYO Basketball playoffs recently concluded with exciting final games marked by excellent shooting and skilled defensive play.

St. Paul, 33-21 This was the 50th annual Oakland Diocese Boy's CYO Basketball playoffs since the founding of the diocese, featuring 60 CYO basketball teams from around the diocese. The playoffs were held at St. Bede Parish, Hayward; St. Joachim Parish, Hayward; St. Elizabeth Parish, Oakland; and St. Theresa Parish, Oakland, over two weekends. The teams represented the six participating leagues playing in CYO boys' basketball playoffs, with more than 1,000 teams and 10,000 players competing in CYO basketball this past season. There are two divisions in each grade level of playoffs, the "AA" division for the larger leagues and parishes, and the "A" division for smaller leagues or Catholic school programs.
